A toothpick is the oldest oral hygiene tool. They have been around from the beginning of recorded history. The materials to make toothpicks have ranged from bones to plant stems. During the time of the Roman Empire, they came up with the idea of taking bird feathers and sharpening the end to a point. This method was passed down the generations through Europe and then to the Americas. Our picks are copied from an original in the National Museum of American History. Each pack includes 4 picks measuring approximately 3" long. They are made from turkey and goose feathers.
