The first recorded reference to a twig whisk was in the 16th century and they were used up to the 19th century when the metal whisk was invented. Twig whisks are still used today as a specialty utensil used by professional chefs.
Our birch twig whisks are made from birch twigs imported from Europe and bound with copper wire. Each whisk measures 12 inches long.
