The sound of the whirling disk lends this toy its common name of "Buzzer", although it appears in early English literature as early as 1686 under the general name for spinning toys, "Whirligig". In far-flung cultures and throughout history, buzzers have been made by and for children from all sorts of materials and in a variety of shapes and sizes. Our buzz saw whirligig measures approximately 3 3/8 inches in diameter and is made of wood. Each buzzer includes one disk, one piece of cotton twine, two wood handles, and instructions on how to use the buzzer.
