Hare and Hounds is a simple asymmetric blocking game. Although not as popular as similar games like Fox and Geese, it was played from the 13th century onwards. It was later known as ‘The Soldiers' Game’ in the late eighteenth century when it became popular amongst soldiers fighting in the Napoleonic Wars. Our board is made from poplar wood and measures 4 1/2" x 7 1/2". Each set comes with four pegs and a set of gaming rules.
