Pick and brush sets like these, were worn on a uniform button for quick access in the heat of battle. The pick was used to clear the vent hole from gunpowder and the brush was used for cleaning the pan from residue.
Our set features a handmade brass chain with a horsehair brush and steel wire pick. When hung on a button, it measures approximately 13 inches on the pick side and 11 1/2 inches on the brush side.
