Put and Take was a popular gambling game from the 16th century which was played with a four-sided teetotum. By the 17th century, the teetotum was replaced with a four-sided long dice called a Long Lawrence and was played this way up until the 19th century. The game of Put and Take is very similar to the Jewish game of Dreidel which may have been the origin of Put and Take. Our set comes with a Long Lawrence, twenty game tokens, a carrying bag, and a set of gaming rules.
