Folding fans have been used for centuries as a way to keep cool, but in the 18th century, they were not used only for that purpose. During the period ladies would use them as a courtship ritual. Fans were made of many different kinds of materials from ivory to wood. 
Our fans are made from sandalwood with a beautifully ornate cut design and feature a decorative tassel. We offer three tassel colors: black, red, and white. These sandalwood fans are lightweight and measure 8in. long when closed.
